When not drawing, creating stories, or playing Mariokart, one of Richy’s favourite things to do is comedy.
Richy has performed stand up sets around London, at such lovely comedy nights and venues as the Comedy Pub, Funny Feckers, Comedy Virgins, Rising Stars, Cuddles for Troubles and Comedy Shtick.
Richy has also trained in improvised comedy with Hoopla, and performed improv several times, mainly at the Miller Pub, London Bridge, plus at the Betsey Trotwood and as part of the Laydeez do Comics Comedy Night.
His material is generally absurdist takes on everyday life, sometimes with a bit of singing thrown in. Important things he discusses include animals, cartoons, video games and biscuits.
Here’s a little taster video. Introducing Richy is the excellent Kate Smurthwaite, who taught Richy on her standup course at City Academy.
